| Bio: | Name: Caitlyn Ann Summers, close friends and family call her Cate or Catie Age: 22 Family: Her parents are Jean Grey and Scott Summers, but she considers the original team of X-Men her family as well. They all practically raised her at some point. Abilities / Skills: Caitlyn has inherited her father's optic blasts, but unlike Scott she doesn't have any brain damage so she is able to turn off and on her ability at will. She also has some telekenic ablity like Jean, but it's not very strong and she hasn't really tried to develop it much. Personality: She's a bit of a nerd, and she's shy like her dad. Because she's shy sometimes she can come off as a bit stand-offish but once people get to know her they see she is a kind hearted and caring person. She's a good friend, and is always willing to help anyone who needs it. She likes mentoring the younger students in the school when she has free time. She likes reading, and she has her dad's gift for math. Since they share a common gift and he spent a lot of time training her, Caitlyn is definitly a bit of a daddy's girl. History: Caitlyn Ann Summers was born to Jean Grey and Scott Summers in May of 2011 after Jean had returned from the "dead". Eight years before, in 2003, the X-Men had been on a mission to space and on the way back they encountered a radiation field. When they couldn't pass through it, Jean scarificed herself for her friends and loved ones, using her powers to draw the ship away from the field so it could get home safely. They all presummed that she was dead, but two years later in 2005, jean returned but as Dark Phoenix, who was bent on destroying the world. With the help of the X-men and especially Scott Summers, they were able to stop her and bring out the real Jean Grey to defeat Dark Phoenix. It took a while for things to return to normal, but in 2010 Jean and Scott were married, and a year later Caitlyn was born. She had as normal of a childhood as anyone who had parents who were mutants. With two powerful mutants for parents, everyone knew it was only a matter of time before their daughter exhibited her own powers. And they were right. When she eight, Caitlyn was out side playing hide and seek with some of the other kids. The person who was it snuck up behind her to let her know she'd been found. This startled Caitlyn, and suddenly a burst of red, like lazors, came flying out of her eyes, taking out several trees and bushes with it. It seemed that she'd inherited her father's powers, but unlike her father since she didn't have any brain damage, she was able to learn how to turn her powers off and on at will. They had visor, sort of like Scott's, made for her that allowed her to control the beams even more. For the next several years, Caitlyn attened school at the mansion, learning to control her powers better, and how to be an X-Men. She accompanied her parents on several missions through her teen years learning the family business. Like her parents, she also had a keen knack for math and science, and those were the subjects she excelled in the most, getting high marks. She applied to several colleges in the area, as well as some far away. But, she finally decided on NYU and she is currently double majoring in Science and Math. She's still close enough to home that she communtes rather than staying on campus. She likes being at the school to help with the younger generation of mutants, and she accopanies the X-Men on their missions now and then when she's needed.
